Senior Microtunneling Engineer

A contracting company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly experienced Senior Microtunneling Engineer to lead and supervise microtunneling and pipe jacking operations for infrastructure projects Key Responsibilities: 1. Microtunneling Operations * Plan, manage, and supervise Microtunneling (MTBM) and Pipe Jacking operations. * Oversee the preparation of launching and receiving shafts, equipment installation, and tunneling activities. * Supervise MTBM operation, pipe jacking, alignment, and guidance systems. * Monitor jacking forces, thrust pressures, friction, and tunneling performance. * Manage slurry circulation, separation systems, lubrication, and spoil removal. 2. Technical Management & Troubleshooting * Evaluate geotechnical reports, soil conditions, and groundwater levels. * Identify and resolve technical issues, including machine blockage, excessive jacking forces, and alignment deviations. * Monitor ground settlement and implement preventive measures. * Review technical drawings, method statements, and engineering calculations. * Coordinate equipment maintenance and resolve operational breakdowns. 3. Project Management & Performance * Prepare execution plans, work schedules, and daily progress reports * Monitor tunneling productivity, equipment utilization, and operating costs. * Supervise operators, technicians, subcontractors, and site teams. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
